Happy November!

So, these are just some pictures from Pisa and a little shopping. You know how they say the styles start in Europe? Well, Here are a few things you have to look forward to.

Purple is definitely in. No joke, we see purple everywhere!

Chocolate

So, this past weekend I went to the 2009 Euro Chocolate festival. It is supposed to be the best chocolate festival in Europe. I'm not going to lie, it was awesome. Chocolate is probably my favorite thing in the whole entire world, and I was in heaven.

I bought a ton of chocolate. Chocolate suckers for neices and nephews and chocolate bars for everybody else. Not just normal chocolate though, the most obscure chocolate you have ever heard of. What's the fun of going to a festival and coming home with plain old milk chocolate? I've got rose chocolate, violette, lavendar, ginger, cardamom, red chile, and all spice (I'm not even sure what that means). So, get excited family. Hope you like chocolate!

Cinque Terre

A couple weekends ago I went to Cinque Terre with some friends. Cinque Terre is 5 coastal towns connected by an amazing hike, and it was by far the prettiest place I have ever seen. It was a little overcast, but it was still really nice, especially because we were hiking.

I am going to a chocolate festival on Friday. Supposedly it is the best chocolate festival in Europe, and I am really excited about it! Italy's pretty awesome!

Soccer Games and PDA

We went to a soccer game here and it was super awesome! It made me miss playing so much. The people got really into it. They had huge flags and they had cheers that they all knew . It was a really good time!

Oh, this? This is just me and Makkia doing our biggest mouths. Remember how I can put my fist in my mouth?

Okay, I don't know if you guys thought I was joking about the whole abundance of PDA thing...but I've definitely been video recording it. Here's one of my favorites. You should definitely watch it because it will give you a taste of Italy. This is what it's like here, all the time. You can't go a whole day without seeing this at least five times. Enjoy!

So, this is my roommate, Katie. We live with Tina and another exchange student named Marina. Tina thinks Marina's name is so funny. Everytime she says it she pretends like she's swimming. You know, the sea.

I can't figure out how to put pictures on the way I want, but this was the first cooking class. We made homemade Ravioli, grilled pumpkin, veal and biscotti. It was pretty awesome!
Oh, this? This is just where I live. Don't mind that it's gorgeous! It's amazing here.

Sunburns and Speedos

Did you know that the sun is hotter in Italy than in Utah? I didn't but somebody definitely should have told me. We went to the beach in Minori and I had a shirt over my face and still got burned! I'm not sure how it happened, but I was definitely not happy about it. Even my eyelids are peeling! It is the worst sunburn I have ever had! I couldn't even open my mouth to eat with out my eyes moving because my face was so tight. So, that's how I looked when I met my host family. She didn't say anything about it, but she definitely kept staring.

Everyone in Italy wears bikinis. It doesn't matter if they're old or fat or wrinkly, no one wears a one piece. And all of the boys wear speedos, not an attractive look (Italian men are pretty hairy). These pictures are maybe my favorites! If you ever come to Italy get ready to see bikinis and speedos and lots of PDA

Ciao!

So, this is the first time I've had access to the internet and have not had to pay for it. Italy is awesome! I am living with a little old lady named Tina, who doesn't speak a world of English. Remember how I don't speak Italian? It's been interesting. She makes her own tomato sauce and pesto, she even makes her own yogurt! It is by far the best food I have ever had!

School is going to kick my trash! I started today and my Italian class is all in Italian. I hope I catch on quick!

So, I wanted to post some pictures. I made sure I'm in a lot of them just for you Alicia! Love you all!!!
